Bachelor's Degree in Web Design
The Bachelor of Web Design & Multimedia provides students with the Web design, scripting, e-commerce, and authoring skills needed to progress in the field of Web design. Students in the program also enroll in both general education and management classes which help them relate skills in communication, general management, logic, critical thinking, and problem solving to challenges in the workplace.
Also included in this program are classes in critical business which examine topics including marketing, project management, and understanding client needs. Graduates from the Bachelor Degree in Web Design & Multimedia are ready for entry-level positions in the field of Web design such as Web page designer, interface designer, graphic artist, and digital media producer.
Graduates of this program of study should be able to:
- Relate project planning skills in order to determine client marketing objectives and goals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of XML.
- Develop, design, and publish a Web design project using industry standard software and applying overall industry design standards.
- Create a professional Web site with e-commerce elements built on HTML with dynamic HTML.
- Demonstrate an understanding of wireless information and WML Wireless Markup Language.
- Apply real-world skills in server administration.
- Distinguish the roles of participation in a Web design team.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently yet manage projects within diverse creative teams and groups.
