Masters of Education / Curriculum and Instruction
Preparing students for an active role in society has always been the aim of educators. Educators must adapt as s digital media is embraced more fully by our cultural foundation to contribute and communicate. The Curriculum and Technology specialization is an online graduate education degree designed to enhance individuals who have earned a bachelor's degree and are currently teaching in a community college or P-12 classroom setting, and who want to further implement technology into their classroom instruction. Students of the program will enhance their skills and abilities that have direct influence on their students' education through the implementation of technology. The program will also help those responsible for choosing which technologies to implement to make better decisions for their educational systems.
The specialization in Curriculum and Technology encompasses technology integration, ethical issues related to technology use in education, and planning and implementing technology curriculums in learning situations.
The program focuses on the creating, assessing, and implementing cutting-edge technology to improve the learning process for students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the school board.
The following admission requirements are expected to be met by all applicants to this program:
1) A regionally or nationally accredited U.S. bachelor's degree
2) A cumulative graduate GPA of 2.5 or higher
3) 3 years of full time work experience
4) A minimum of 9 months K-12 Instructional or Teaching experience
