Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Developed to give students an expansive foundation in engineering, the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree program has two tracks of emphasis, allowing for specialization with in the broad-based area of study.
The first option, Machine Design Structures, centers on the mechanics and challenges associated with engineering (particular emphasis is placed on material properties and structural dynamics). Various employment opportunities in aerospace, automobile, and manufacturing, and other industries are examined as well. Courses include properties and selection of materials, strengths of materials, and macaronis.
The second option, Thermo-Sciences Energy, places emphasis on various thermal-energy fields including power plant and heating, combustion, ventilation, and air conditioning. Courses include mechanics of heat transfer, engineering of thermo-dynamics, industrial heat exchangers, principles of fluid mechanics, and more.
